OUR PRODUCT
Glued Laminated Timber, commonly known as Glulam, is a highly innovative and versatile construction material. This page aims to equip you with comprehensive knowledge about Glulam, highlighting its unique qualities and explaining why it stands out as the superior choice for your future home or cabin construction.
In partnership with a woodworking production facility in the northern regions of Europe, Froese Cabins utilizes the Facility to create our high-quality and unique Glued Laminated Timbers.
Our Product comes in various sizes and is certified according to international standards.
The Sawmill
The Sawmill
harvesting
Only legally harvested, high-quality and ecologically pure wood is used for our glued timber beams. The whole production chain of wood delivery “from supplier to user” is FSC certified.
Type of wood
The Sawmill uses wood from northern regions and produces our glued Timber from Spruce and Pine. These tree species are valued in our wooden architecture.
Milling &Grinding
With the use of the Finnish-made milling and grinding machine “HewSaw R 250SE, the high-quality square-sawn timber is produced.
Humidity
After the milling and grinding is complete, the timber is brought to a Kiln where the drying process is being performed. As a result, the timber acquires the so-called shipping-dry condition.
producing the laminated log
Gluing
After the drying Chamber the high quality lumber is being glued with water-resistant melamine glue. The glues have hygiene certificates and frost-resistance test certificates.
pressing
For ideal gluing quality, Kallesoe (Denmark) HFC press is used. It heats the material on molecular level, which decreases glue spending and increases efficiency. DUCET (Canada) cold hydraulic press provides for increase of the item’s geometric size, gluing the beam along two planes.
inspecting
After pressing, the logs are visually inspected to make sure that only highest quality is being produced. After it passes the inspection, it is time for the next procedure which is the CNC Milling.
PRODUCTION OF HOUSE KITS
With the Swiss CNC Machine "KRÜSI" , a intertwined corner joint is cut in so that the logs can be connected and sealed on the corners. The highly modern CNC wood machine enables workpieces of all kinds to be sawed, milled, planed, and drilled for electric holes. According to the engineered plan the LAMINATED LOG is being marked with a number and is now ready for the Log House assembly.
Next, the inspected timber goes thru the (German) Hundegger K2i CNC Machine which enables the timber to be grooved. The elements of the future building are factory-manufactured which guarantees precision and fitting of the tongue & groove.

ADVANTAGES Of our LAMINATED LOGS
▪️ Superior quality of interior surfaces which do not require any additional treatment
▪️ Strict adherence to production standards in accordance with the requirements of EN 14080:2013.
▪️ Strong adhesive bonding
▪️ Precision sizes, stable geometrical shapes
▪️ Environment friendly
▪️ They consist of several lamella’s (layers) with the timber grain running in opposing directions.
▪️ High quality glues strengthen the log making it able to withstand the natural process of the timber warping.
▪️ The individual lamella’s are kiln dried, therefore the laminated log does not change its form.
